still no internet connection but that does not keep me from blogging away - will upload later - today we made our way to the marble factory in newton abbot - where there was marbles and glass blowing and a massive mouse trap hanging on the wall and funky glasses too - what more could you ask for on a rainy day - plus it was FREEEEEEE !

and then off to stonehedge - opps i mean stonehenge - but first a sandwich and nap on the road

STONEHENGE - that shite is crazy - and it was sooooooo cold at the rock site - i was an icicle

this evening we had a lovely dinner with gaz's aunt and her family eileen, jim, emma and her beau adam - great dinner - great conversation again until the wee hours of the night :)

- off to bed as tomorrow brings great new adventure

morning or should i say good afternoon - we woke up at noon - opps we were meant to be on the road by 10 am ( thank god i packed last night before bed ) - and so the clove/cinnamon/thyme steam ritual took place and i noticed as i look up (kinda) from my bowl

that in the uk ( maybe other places ) but here anyway - MOSS grows everywhere - even on the roofs of houses and then when it rains or in the damp - anyway it falls off the roof and then it is on the sidewalk and it is SUPER SLIPPERY - just a point of observation

as i was packing the car to head off to newton abbott (devon) aunty audrey, david and phillip's house - i noticed that spring is springing - it has been and long winter and little bits and bobs are beginning to pop up in the garden.

so now we are heading on the "M6" and saw the new vw scirocco - it is so sexy - right ???

ok then we stopped for a sandwich at M&S and saw this beautiful magpie

fog has set in that is just incredible -

i felt like i was on a film set - like really british damp fog - wolfman shite - we stopped for gas in this little place off the beaten path and it was surrounding by so much fog - i was scared actually - it was eerie - the picture does not do it justice and i was too scared to keep photographing it. i was like that chick in the horror film when you the viewer is yelling at the screen "dont go in there" and she (i) does (do) in fact go in "there" - am happy to report i survived :)

hanging with the william's was AMAZING - we were welcomed with opened arms and had a proper sit down meal and fooled around with the boys and chatted and chatted and chatted in the wee hours ( this is becoming a habit i think - ah it is what family vacation is alllllll about )

and now it is 3.30 am GMT and i believe that i have caught you up on all the coming and goings of the uk 2010 journey so far - goodnight and more soon - k

we are here !!!!!

JANET (my mother in law) picked us up

we headed to their house to visit with graham ( the pop in law ) for a cuppa tea or two ( we are in england after all )

then it was off in JANET'S FIAT to anne and ed's house to get moved in and shower and NAP ( finally - been up 26 hours - not so good for the "allergies" )

after my death NAP of 1.5 hours - we greeted anne as she got home from work and awaited ed's arrival home - we had big plans for a PUB QUIZ !!!!!!!!!! you know i love it - we played on the in-laws team and we came in 2nd place ( don't worry we will be back next tuesday - for revenge ) me gaz and eddy headed home and stayed up chatting until the wee hours .... i need sleep !!!!!!!

finding internet access has been sparse - mostly because i am a computer dumb dumb - regardless - now i will get you caught up on the journey so far

the flight from PBI to PHI was great it left 15 minutes late and arrived 15 minutes early - and we circled PHI airport for at least 20 minutes - the first photo for this entry finds me and gaz all tucked up and ready for that PBI - PHI flight

so then we arrived to philly - we walked from terminal B to terminal A and found this little wine bar across from our gate and with a 2.5 hour layover that was handy - so a beer for gaz and a mushroom soup for me - i am on major cold meds trying to keep the liquid dry in my ears and head.

and we are off - rain in philly will not delay our lift off to the uk :)

we are hunkered down and ready to go - excited for BBQ chicken and THE BLINDSIDE on demand

then gaz got sleepy and went nite nite - me i watched the sunrise

we kissed the pooch who is in great hands with gram and poppy and kissed the cooter who will be well looked after by our houseguest ( thanks g ;) ) and up up and

away we go or not - gaz and i are sitting on what will hopefully be our last delay PBI - PHI currently 10 minutes delayed - ill blog in philly if i can - k
